Tuesday Tip: DIY Cucumber Toner Recipe
Babydoll Weddings stylist Charity has a great tip to share with you today for soothing and softening your skin! Read on to find out her tip:  This toner is very mild and works well for all skin types. Cucumber is great for soothing and softening skin because it has the same pH as healthy skin. If you ever wake up feeling like your face is a little puffy, this toner is your best bet for calming and tightening your skin.

1/2 cucumber with peel, chopped
3 tablespoons witch hazel
2 tablespoons distilled water

Put all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove all of the solids, then pour the toner into a clean bottle with a tight-fitting lid. Store this toner in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life—it should last for several weeks.

To use, apply the toner to your face using a clean cotton ball.

Yield: 4 1/2 ounces

Quick Tip: A classic home beauty trick is to use fresh cucumber slices to soothe puffy eyes. Simply lie down, close your eyes, put a cucumber slice on each, and let this naturally astringent and cooling vegetable work its magic

Babydoll Beauty Secrets: DIY Teeth Whitening Treatment

DIY Teeth Whitening Treatment
Babydoll Weddings Stylist Elise has a great recipe for teeth whitening: My dentist actually told me about this.  Use a little toothpaste, mix in one teaspoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, and half a teaspoon of water.  Thoroughly mix to create a paste, as seen above, then brush your teeth with the mixture for 2 minutes.  Do this once a week until you have reached the results you want.  Once your teeth are at the level of whiteness you prefer, limit yourself to using the whitening treatment once every month or so.
What a great thing to do at home! This will save you so much money as well.  Plan out how many weeks you want to put your teeth through this treatment, and your pearly whites will be ready and bright in time for your wedding!

Babydoll Beauty Secrets: A Recipe for Kissable Lips

How can you prep your lips for your wedding day kiss?  Babydoll Weddings Makeup Artist Jamie shares how here: “If you want those kissable, smooth and luscious lips on your wedding day start exfoliating them, at least 3 times per week. Doing this will allow lipstick to go on nice and smooth and with an even texture.

I recommend that you make your own exfoliator with the following ingredients, easily found in your kitchen: 1 part brown sugar, 1 part honey, & 1 part olive oil, and combine to form a paste. Be sure to make small amounts being this will lack preservatives. Take the mixture and rub gently onto your lips, allowing the brown sugar to help remove dead skin, and the honey and olive oil to soften and moisturize.”
