Lead stylist Avery LOVES coconut oil and so should you! We have known that it is good for hair but then we discovered that it is also good for the skin, BONUS! You can rub it into your cuticles and all over your hands and arms for silky smooth skin that smells incredible. Also it can be used as an eye make-up remover! Cool right?! Dab a little on your finger, cotton ball or swab and gently wipe your eye makeup clean without using any harsh alcohol like product or weird oily products you probably cannot even pronounce. Now get out there and grab some coconut oil!
This Tuesday’s tip being brought to you from Avery: Okie Dokie ladies, I don’t know about you but I do not enjoy putting sunscreen on underneath my make up. I feel like it makes the make-up separate and look funky. Instead of doing that nonsense we like to use M·A·C Select SPF15 Foundation. This is a water based foundation (aka no icky oily shine) that provides medium coverage with SPF 15 and that wonderful fresh natural, matte finish that we really love from MAC products. If you want to baby your skin this is one way to do it and it comes in 21 shades! This is the best time of year to be outside ladies so go out side and enjoy it!

What is your one must have accessory, that you cannot leave the house without? I cannot leave the house with out my favorite necklace that my very good friend Maria gave to me as a Christmas present. It is a tiny choker chain with the smallest little A on it. I Pinned it forever ago, she saw the pin and got it for me! Love her! What is your favorite color? Green is for sure my favorite color! What is your favorite flower? I like most flowers but since I saw the movie Big Fish I have fallen on love with the Daffodil.
What is your music preference? Any particular bands or singers you are loving this moment? Oh man this is a hard one. I listen to everything from country to show tunes haha. Folk music is my favorite right now but I listen to everything. I love old crow medicine show Nd the Pistols Annie’s. Any interesting reads that you can’t put down? I love the Mortal Instruments books. Any funny nicknames people call you? Aves, aveybaby(that’s just my mom). When you aren’t in the salon or at weddings making brides pretty, what do you enjoy doing? I’m mostly home with my two pups or going to movies with friends. I do frequent some pubs with friends. It’s a pretty laid back life I lead 🙂 What is your favorite place you have traveled to? Will you be going back? I loved Vancouver Canada. I would absolutely go back What was the last movie you saw? The last movie I saw was “About Time” What is your favorite nail polish color? I love all nail colors – they are super fun.
