Babydoll Weddings Stylist Carina is no stranger when it comes to creating gorgeous color combinations for fearless eye makeup! She shares some words of wisdom with us today:
Never ever be afraid of color! There are no bad colors just bad uses of color or possibly bad associations of color (red + green= Christmas or blue eye shadow= Mimi from Drew Carey Show). If a color moves you, it can be worn on your face. Consider an “interference” shade (colors that are clear but reflect a certain color of light) or a sheer shade as opposed to the full opaque commitment. Nudes are great for their versatility but are at their best when they complement and accentuate a true color.

Tired of lipstick maintenance and lip line migration? Try a lip stain covered with a lip gloss. There is no lip liner outline. You can usually omit lip liner altogether because stains are similar to coloring your lips with a marker. Most stains can be diluted with a little water because they are water based. The wear is gradual. Try it today!

This week’s tip comes from stylist Carina!
Eye shadow precipitation (almost unavoidable when applying loose pigment eye shadows) can ruin your application and set you back on your get ready time! Before you start your eye shadow application, dust a generous layer of translucent loose powder under your eyes/top of your cheeks. DO NOT blend it in. After you are finished with your eye shadow application, use a fluffy powder brush to “sweep” away all the powder and the loose eye shadow that landed on top of it.
