Meagan and Matt were just married this year
in January and the first thing we have to do when we receive the pictures is post them on to the blog.
Their wedding had beautiful pops of color and
you can tell the rooms were filled with love. Read more below!
As some of you may know the past three months for Babydoll Weddings has been quite hectic. With weddings, events and photoshoots; we’ve barely had time to breathe. Now we’ve been able to sit back, take a breath and dig into all of the newest issues of the magazines, look at all of the submitted wedding photos and the all of the gorgeous shots from the photo shoots. We have chosen our favorite shots from the photoshoot we were able to participate in for AZ Finest Weddings magazine at The Carefree Resort and we are so excited to share them with you!
Shots filled with deep oranges and soft pinks set against a beautiful backdrop of cacti and desert scenery made for a dreamy desert wedding. Delicate lace sleeves on a floor length gown and details of pearls and twine really made this styled shoot a mix of desert and romance. It was so hard to pick our favorites! Read more below and be sure to pick up a copy of the magazine today!
Everyone here at Babydoll Weddings loves October, with the cooler weather to sweaters and boots to pumpkin spice everything. But there is one special day we love the most and that is the Phoenix Bridal Show! We all had a blast and we met so many fantastic brides to be, it was a whirlwind of a day! We had a great Instagram contest, plenty of pink and some of us were wearing tutus! For the full look at everything head on over our Facebook or Instagram!
In keeping with our theme this month of fighting and preventing dry flaky skin, Amanda has a fantastic tip for us! And it’s perfect for those who love DIY beauty! So, we can all be honest and say that we do not like dry and flaky skin. It makes makeup look patchy, it’s uncomfortable and sometimes it makes it hard to put our best face forward (quite literally). Exfoliators can help this problem tremendously and best part is, you can make this one right at home! Just combine sugar and fresh lemon juice together until it makes a paste. Then massage onto your face in little circles, concentrating more in the spots that may be more dry and flaky, and then wash off! It’s easy to make, inexpensive, smells amazing and you can use it as a body scrub as well to really fight off dry skin!
Our wedding stylist Amanda always has amazing beauty tips and some of my favorites of her’s are the ones I can easily apply to my day to day life. Especially when I may be in a pinch and need a quick and easy fix to get me through until I can replenish whatever product I may be out of. And this tip has proved to help me out time and time again!
Throughout the day we tend to get a bit shiny and we don’t always have those wonderful blotting sheets around to help. Most of us do, however, make it into Starbucks at least once or twice a week. Next time you’re in there pick up a few extra napkins. They work great as a blotting sheet when you’re in a pinch. Simply unfold the napkin and just like a blotting sheet, gently press onto your face in any area that may have a little too much shine for your taste. And ta-da! No more shine!
We recently had the pleasure of joining Stacy from Stacy Poterson Photography at Soho63 for a beautiful styled photoshoot with models Josh and Elena!
Stylists Charly and Amanda did beautiful work utilizing Elena’s long hair for an up-do with braids and (more braids) and showcasing her beautiful skin tone with a great pink lip! Which complimented the beautiful floral arrangement from Hoot& Holler! Soho63 had so many great backdrops and areas for photos so we decided to use them all! And we love the pictures that Stacy took, so much, we couldn’t pick just one.
