Our wonderful stylist Micky knows her products so when she says something is good, we take her word for it! The Lanza Trauma Treatment care is her favorite product! “Actually in love with the Lanza trauma treatment and think everyone should own it” says Micky. It’s a non greasy cream that can be used as a leave-in or rinse-out treatment. It’s an ultra deep conditioning treatment that heels hair. Micky also says it’s perfect for winter for anyone who has very dry hair to help control that annoying static.
Phoenix Bride and Groom just celebrated their 15 year anniversary and Babydoll Weddings was invited to do hair and makeup for the cover and centerfold! Set in the gardens of Boojum Tree, a chic boho wedding was set up and the models were dressed to the nines from Ted Baker and Schaffer’s. Babydoll Wedding stylists’ transformed Kendall’s long blonde hair into a beautiful loose fishtail braid and highlighted her eyes with beautiful browns and golds. We loved being a part of the anniversary celebration and loved working Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine!

What’s playing in your car right now?
90% of the time when you ride with me in my car, you will hear Camel Country! I love a good country song and love singing it at the top of my lungs (but only when I’m alone lol)
Who’s your favorite superstar?
This is a hard one for me as I cant really say I have one favorite, but I really enjoy watching movies that star Julia Roberts and/or Sandra Bullock. Both of these ladies are extremely talented and who doesn’t like Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, Speed, and Miss Congeniality (just to name a few) oh, I may have just dated myself, oops 😉
What is your favorite food?
I’d have to say any traditional Mexican Food, but I can really never say no to a good burger and fries! Fries are my weakness 😀 and now I’m hungry… JK
What is your best achievement?
Staying true to myself and knowing who I am and what I stand for.
Who would you most like to meet and why?
I’ve never really put much thought into it, but meeting Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock would be pretty cool. I’ve seen them on screen, but seeing how hey are in person would be interesting.
What is your favorite type of animal?
I have a soft spot in my heart for pit bulls. I know most people are scared of them, but all I’ve come in contact with have been nothing but nice. I think a lot has to do with how you treat them.
If a genie gave you a wish what would you wish for?
ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!! maybe a magic carpet ride 😉 haha, not sure
TV show you never miss?
During “So You Think You Can Dance” I do my very best to keep up with all the episodes. A friend even recorded each episode for me when I was in cosmetology school so I could watch it when I had the chance 🙂
Best and part of a stylist?
Best part of being a stylist is getting to see a transformation in someone. Whether it be small or large, that’s what it’s all about. The satisfaction in seeing someone achieve the look they were wanting (color, cut, style or makeup) and seeing that huge smile on their face 🙂
Your favorite childhood memory?
When my sisters and I would play in our front yard. We had a huge tree that we would climb as well as a brick wall that bordered our house (which my dad always told us to stay off of! heehee!) As well as when we got a bit older, we would lie in the bed of our truck and look at the stars waiting for a meteor shower or falling stars. Sometimes we would even take a small nap waiting! 🙂
Each month we feature a Babydoll Weddings stylist. Getting to know our stylists has been fun! So far we have met Sabrina, the owner & lead stylist, and have learned she loves daisies, and that new show Nashville, to name a few of her interests. By the way, I love Nashville too! Cannot get enough of that fun drama! And then we met Stylist Charity, and learned she loves tulips and the last movie she saw was Pitch Perfect.
This month we get to meet Lead Stylist Micky! Check out what her interests are. Do you share the same? Let us know in the comments below!
What is your one must have accessory, that you cannot leave the house without?
My eyebrows!!! If I don’t fill them in, there’s no framing to my face.
What is your favorite color?
I tend to wear a lot of purple since it brings out the color in my eyes.
What is your favorite flower?
An ombré rose
What is your music preference? Any particular bands or singers you are loving this moment?
I love country music. That’s my go to music station, but for the most part, if there’s any type of music on I’m movin and groovin 🙂
Any funny nicknames people call you?
A past manager of mine always called me Mickerdoodle.
When you aren’t in the salon or at weddings making brides pretty, what do you enjoy doing?
I love salsa dancing! Or any dancing for that matter 🙂
What is your favorite place you have traveled to? Will you be going back?
New York or Acapulco. Two completely different places and I can’t choose between them. I would love to go back to NY I didn’t get to see nearly everything I wanted to see.
What was the last movie you saw?
Pitch Perfect.
What is your favorite nail polish color?
I change my nail color so often and try to not have the same color too close to each other.
