What is your name and your groom’s name?
Hillary & Jonathan
What was your wedding date?

How did you and your groom meet?
We met through mutual friends in high school. The next semester, he was in my Economics class where we were seated next to each other. I used this opportunity to ask him questions and be his partner for projects.
We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
I had the weekend off of work and no plans, so he suggested that we go to the Grand Canyon. We drove up Friday night to Flagstaff and continued to the Grand Canyon on Saturday. We took one of the shuttles to several of the lookouts. At one, he pulled me off to the side away from the crowd. He pulled away and I thought he was turning around to go back, but when I turned around he was on one knee!
What were your wedding colors and why did you choose them?
Our wedding colors were royal blue, silver, and white. I chose them because they are classic colors that look good on everyone and can be used in any season.
Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was relatively easy or difficult?
I bought my dress from La Bella Bridal. They were the 3rd place I went, but had exactly what I was looking for, where the first two places didn’t show me what I was really interested in.
Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of the venue(s)?
Ceremony and reception took place at Superstition Manor. We chose it based on it’s value and extra amenities they offer that other venues don’t.
What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and at the ceremony/reception?
My bouquet was made of white calla lilies.
What was the flavor of your wedding cake?
We had two flavors of cake: lemon with raspberry filling and almond with chocolate mousse.
Did you provide favors to your guests?
If so, what were they?
Shot glasses that said “Jon & Hillary November 8,2015” on one side, and “cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after” on the other.
What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
We honored my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary by having a special dance just for them with the song that was at the top of the charts when they got married. The best part, it was a surprise! They had no idea we had planned it!
Other than marrying your husband, what was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
We took dance lessons for a choreographed first dance. We were worried about messing up due to nerves or going too fast and not finishing on time, but everything went perfect and our guests loved it!
Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
Maui
What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
