Jaime married Dennis out at the absolutely breathtaking Windmill Winery last November. We had so much fun prepping Jaime and her girls and cannot get over how lovely the wedding was. Read more and enjoy the eye candy after the jump!

How did you two meet?
Online! On Plenty of Fish

We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
We were in California for Thanksgiving, and he proposed in front of his friends. It was a very sweet moment and a total surprise

What were your wedding colors? Did you have an overall theme?
Navy blue and gray, but no overall theme. It was very casual and comfortable.

How large was your wedding party?
We had six bridesmaids & six groomsmen

Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was a relatively easy or a difficult process?
Lillian Lottie in Scottsdale. It was much easier than expected. It was the second dress I tried on, and I kept coming back to it. Loved it!

Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of venue(s)?
We got married at the Windmill Winery, and our reception was in the Big Barn. We looked at one venue and booked immediately. I was drawn to the green grass and the ‘country’ feel. I grew up in rural Wisconsin, and the barn at the Windmill was even brought in from Wisconsin. It felt like home!

What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and the ceremony/ reception?
I had roses and ranunculus in our bouquets, and my florist was able to add a couple peonies.  I wanted them so badly (my grandma’s favorite) but they weren’t really in season.  Still, she tried!  We had white roses and baby’s breath on the aisle decor and centerpieces.
What was the flavor of your wedding cake? Did you have a groom’s cake?
Our cake had four flavors: white cake/vanilla custard, chocolate cake/peanut butter filling, carrot cake/vanilla filling, and a margarita lime topper.  I didn’t have a single piece of cake that night… too busy!

Did you provide favors to your guests? If so, what were they?
We had a photo booth with souvenir magnets, and we also prepped s’mores packages since we had a bonfire at the reception.
What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
Our music choices were all very personal and beautiful.  I had a picture of my grandma on my bouquet.
Other than marrying your husband, what was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
The dancing!  We had such an amazing DJ, he made every moment fun.
Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
We went to Secrets Maroma Beach, just south of Cancun!  It is the perfect all-inclusive resort and we can’t wait to go back.

What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
Make your decisions and stick with them.  Don’t second-guess yourself.  Also, try to remember what YOU remember from weddings you’ve attended.  More than likely you don’t remember all the little details, so try not to stress over those during your own planning.
Who were some of the other vendors that were a part of your dream team?
Joel Gibbs-DJ, Kiss the Chef catering, Gemma’s Fashion and Sewing (alterations), Blume Events, the Windmill Winery staff, Gretchen Wakeman Photography
Thank you so much for letting be a part of your special day Jaime! We wish you and Dennis a lifetime of happiness and joy!
