How did you and your groom meet?
We are both educators and met at my school when one of my students had him as a guitar teacher.

We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
He proposed at the Grand Canyon… well kind of. He tried proposing at the Grand Canyon but it was so snowy and cold so we had to go into the small city of Cameron instead. He ended up proposing there. He arranged for my Aunt and cousin there to be there when he did, it was super sweet!

What were your wedding colors? Did you have an overall theme?
Our wedding colors were silver and hot pink. We didn’t really have a theme really, just those colors.
How large was your wedding party?
We had 17 people in our wedding party!
Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was a relatively easy or a difficult process?
I found my dress at David’s Bridal. It ended up being the 7th dress I tried on at my first appointment.
Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of venue(s)?
Superstition Manor. It was the second place we looked at and we knew right away, with the view and everything it was what we wanted!

What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and the ceremony/ reception?
We used my favorites, lilies and roses
What was the flavor of your wedding cake?
Our wedding cakes was made up of 3 different flavors and to be honest, I do not remember what they were! I just remember that they weren’t original flavors. I only had one bite of the whole cake that day!

Did you provide favors to your guests? If so, what were they?
We had a candy bar in our colors for our guests. They loved the extra sugar!

What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
We read our personal vows alone before the ceremony. The intimacy of that moment is something I will never forget.

Other than marrying your husband, what was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Honestly, I was a little stressed because it rained as soon as the ceremony was about to start. However, having all the people who joined us be there and know we had so much support by them was enough to calm me. We were surrounded by so much love & support.
Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
Not yet, but we are planning on taking a cruise this summer!

What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
It’s not going to be perfect, but it’ll be worth it all in the end.

Who were some of the other vendors that were a part of your dream team?
Sugarlips Cakery, Jillian Bratcher Photography, and Valley Mix Entertainment & Babydoll Weddings of course!

Thank you so much for sharing your vibrant day with us Kayla! (We especially loved the pink touches!) You were a dream to work with and we wish both you and your husband many years of happiness!!
