How did you and your groom meet?
We actually met online through eharmony.com. I was just about to give up and he was on for a free promotional weekend.

We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
Matt proposed in the such a cute way. We had spent the d01.16.16-134ay with my parents and grandparents (little did I know, he clued my dad in at this point). When we got home it was just after sunset. I had just sat down when he suggested that we take our dog for a walk since she had been in the house all day. We started on our usual walking route around the block, but Matt had another idea. We instead started walking toward our neighborhood park. As we approached I was taken aback to see a semi circle of candles set up in the grass. He got down on one knee and proposed! I found out afterward that his sisters and cousins helped set up the candles. It was so sweet!

What were your wedding colors and why did you choose them?
Our wedding colors were eggplant, gold, ivory and silver. We just liked the combination of colors and it went really well for the season.

Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was relatively easy or difficult?
I found my dress at Lillian Lottie Couture in South Scottsdale. Finding the right dress was a little challenging. I had a consultant who was just amazing, she went above and beyond to help me find THE dress for me. I literally tried on every style of dress eliminating them one by one (I compared them to the previous one) until I found the dress. In the end it was something that I never thought I could see myself wearing, but it was amazing and perfect for me.

Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of the venue(s)?
Our ceremony and reception took place at Superstition M01.16.16307anor. When we toured the venue we loved everything about it. The manor had plenty of room to hold either an outdoor or indoor wedding. The venue allowed us flexibility to customize our wedding. We could get a package, but choose to hire our own vendor if we didn’t want someone from their list. The food was cooked one site, which I loved. No worrying about cold food or anything like that. The owners take an active role in planning your wedding.

What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and at the ceremony/reception?
I’m sorry, I’m horrible with names of flowers. I’ll upload a picture of the bouquet and arrangements.

What was the flavor of your wedding cake?
We decided on a 3-tier cake where the top of bottom layers were marble with chocolate filling, and the middle layer red velvet with the same chocolate filling. From the small bite we had at the wedding, it was amazing. I’m looking forward to having our top layer of cake at our one year anniversary.

Did you provide favors to your guests? If so, what were they?
Yes, we provided small mason jars of m&m’s (Meagan & Matt — M&M). The m&m’s were in our wedding colors.

What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
There was a lot of things that the wedding unique to me. I did something new, something borrowed and something blue. The something new was my wedding dress. The something borrowed was a double strand pearl necklace that belonged to my great, great grandmother. Something blue was a handkerchief that my late great grandmother made for my mom on her wedding day. I draped the handkerchief from my bouquet. Each detail was unique to me, and really tied in my family.

Other than marrying your husband, what was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
I received a phone call in between pictures and the start of the reception from my Granddad. He was unable to travel to the ceremony but he was very much apart of the big day. The photographer set up a quiet area and had the phone call on video!

Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
We went to Hawaii. We spent 3 days in Honolulu/Wakiki/North Shore then went on a 7-day cruise around the islands.

What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
Don’t forget to enjoy the ride. Pla01.16.16-357nning a wedding is a fun, but stressful process. You can do all the planning and preparations in the world and things will still go wrong on your wedding day. Just accept it and roll with it. In the end they are the moments you can look back and laugh at. Enjoy your wedding day, especially since you put all this time and effort into it.
